Fashion designers have many points of inspiration.
Some choose art, others music, but for Rachel Roy,
who is known for designing covetable feminine and sexy clothes
for everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Kim Kardashian, it's film.
It has grown by leaps and bounds since her beginningns,
she has several well-received Fashion Week presentations under her belt,
and she was recently inducted, along with 29 other up-and-coming designers,
into the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Roy remains one of the most charismatic designers in the fashion world.
Here is a Winter White Multi-Media dress that I thought was CH*NEL, 'til I looked at the label.
The body of the woolen sections of the dress are 98% Fine Wool, 1% Elasthane & 1% Nylon
The Back, Insets and Tiered Fringes are made with matching Silk Chiffon
Sleeveless Sheath with a framed Decolletage inset with Chiffon cami-shirt with Button Closures
Draped Wool Waistband in the front and back
The entire Torso Back of the Garment is in the same silk Chiffon as the Bib
The silk Chiffon Drapes below the waistband creating a pleated loose panel
The side hiplines are draped silk chiffon over the wool body
Side Hematite Zipper Closure
Below the hipline the Silk chiffon is again draped on the wool skirting
